South Africa is UTC+2 — 6 hours ahead of New York, 7 ahead of Chicago, 1 ahead of London and 5 ahead of São Paulo in the southern summer. Our bookings team answers WhatsApp from 07:00 to 20:00 SAST, and bookings themselves are automated, so you can confirm a slot at any hour from any country.
High season for lion walks is June to September (dry, cool mornings) and December to January. Both fill early — if your travel dates are fixed, book the slot first and add transport afterwards.

Can I book from the USA, Europe or Brazil before I fly?
Yes. Booking is fully online and instant — pick your date and time slot, pay with any international Visa or Mastercard in South African Rand, and your ticket is emailed immediately. No deposit paperwork, no bank transfer, no booking fee.
Will my card work from overseas?
Yes. Payments are processed in ZAR by a South African payment gateway and accept international Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. There is no card surcharge. Your bank may apply its own foreign-exchange fee.
How much is the lion walk in dollars, euros or reais?
The lion walk is R1,300 per person and the Lion Walk + Guided Predator Tour combo is R1,700 per person. Rates move daily, but as a rough guide R1,300 is usually around US$70, €65 or R$380 — your card is charged the exact Rand amount.
How far ahead should international visitors book?
Two to six weeks ahead for high season (June–September and December–January). Morning slots and combo tours fill first because they are the ones tour groups take.
Do I need a visa or vaccinations?
Most USA, UK, EU and Brazilian passport holders enter South Africa visa-free for tourism (usually 90 days) — check with your embassy for your passport. Ukutula and Johannesburg are not malaria areas, so no malaria prophylaxis is needed for this day trip.
What if my flight is delayed or my dates change?
Tell us on WhatsApp and we move your slot free of charge subject to availability. Airport pickups track your flight number, so late arrivals are handled without an extra charge.
Do you have guides or support in my language?
Guest support is available in Portuguese, French, Spanish and German, and the on-site guiding is in English. We have dedicated booking pages in each of those languages.
Can this fit around a Kruger or Cape Town trip?
Yes — Ukutula sits between OR Tambo and Lanseria, so it works best as your Johannesburg day either side of a domestic flight. Cape Town, Kruger and Victoria Falls are separate trips, not same-day add-ons.
