Ukutula ticket prices & cost per person
How much is an Ukutula ticket?
Ukutula tickets are priced per person: Walk With Lions R1,300 pp, Walk With Lions + Predator Tour Combo R1,700 pp, Guided Predator Tour from R825 pp and the Lion Waterhole game drive R1,000 pp. All prices are in South African Rand, VAT inclusive, with no booking fee and no card surcharge.
How much is Ukutula cost per person in 2026?
The 2026 cost per person is R1,300 for the Walk With Lions, R1,700 for the Walk + Predator Tour Combo (best value), R1,000 for the Lion Waterhole drive and from R825 for the Guided Predator Tour. Prices are held year-round — there is no weekend, holiday or peak-season loading.
What is the Ukutula lion walk price?
The Ukutula Walk With Lions is R1,300 per person for roughly 90 minutes with your guide and handlers. Add the Predator Tour and the combined price is R1,700 pp, which saves you against booking the two separately.
How much is the Ukutula entrance fee?
There is no separate entrance fee to pay on top of your experience — reserve entry is already included in every ticket price you see. You pay one per-person amount that covers entry, your guide or handler, the safety briefing, bottled water and photo assistance.
Is there a cheaper Ukutula ticket option?
The Guided Predator Tour from R825 pp is the most affordable way to see the lions, cheetahs and other predators up close, and it is family friendly with no age restriction. If you want the lion walk itself, the Combo at R1,700 pp gives you the lowest cost per experience.
How much is an Ukutula child ticket?
Child rates apply on the family-friendly experiences — the Guided Predator Tour and the Lion Waterhole drive both show a child price next to the adult price. Children under 5 go free on the Guided Predator Tour. The Walk With Lions and the Combo are 12+ only, so no child ticket exists for those.
How much is Ukutula for a family of four?
As an example, two adults and two children on the Guided Predator Tour is the most affordable family option, while a family with teens (12+) often takes the Combo at R1,700 pp. Send your exact ages and date on WhatsApp and we return a written total in minutes — there are no hidden extras added later.
Are Ukutula prices per person or per group?
Every Ukutula price is per person, not per vehicle or per group. Your total is simply the per-person rate multiplied by the number of guests, plus a transfer if you choose one.
Do Ukutula prices include VAT?
Yes. Every price shown is in ZAR and VAT inclusive. There is no online booking fee, no service charge and no card surcharge added at checkout.
Is Ukutula cheaper if I book online?
Booking online is the same price as in person and usually better, because slots are limited and the popular Walk With Lions times sell out first. Booking ahead is the only way to guarantee a specific date and time.
Do Ukutula prices change on weekends or public holidays?
No. Rates are flat all week, on weekends, over school holidays and at Christmas. What you see on the rate card is what you pay.
How much is the transfer from Johannesburg to Ukutula?
The private door-to-door shuttle by Capital Xperience is quoted separately from your ticket so you only pay for what you need. Enter your pickup address at checkout for an instant quote, or send it on WhatsApp. Ukutula itself does not run a transfer service.
How to book Ukutula tickets
How do I book Ukutula tickets?
Booking takes about two minutes on this site: choose your experience, pick your date and time slot, enter your guest details and confirm. This is a live booking system — your slot is held the moment you confirm and your e-ticket is issued immediately after payment.
How do I book the Ukutula lion walk?
Open the Walk With Lions experience, select a date, choose an available start time, add your guests and confirm. Because handler numbers cap each walk, weekend slots typically close first — book at least a few days ahead where you can.
Can I book Ukutula on WhatsApp?
Yes. Send your date, experience and guest count to WhatsApp +27 82 711 7350. We create a pending booking with a reference number and send you a secure payment link — your slot is confirmed once payment clears.
Can I book Ukutula by email?
Yes — email info@capitalxperience.co.za with your preferred date, experience and number of guests and we reply with availability, a written quote and a payment link.
How far in advance should I book Ukutula?
For weekends, school holidays and December, book one to two weeks ahead. Midweek you can often book a day or two before. Same-day requests are worth sending on WhatsApp — we check live availability for you.
Can I book Ukutula for the same day?
Sometimes, depending on handler and vehicle availability. Message WhatsApp +27 82 711 7350 with your time and guest count and we confirm within minutes during operating hours.
Do I need to book in advance or can I just arrive?
Walk-ins are not recommended — the lion walk and waterhole drive both run at fixed times with limited spaces, and guests who arrive without a booking are frequently turned away on busy days. A confirmed ticket guarantees your slot.
Do I have to pay in full to book?
Paying in full secures your slot instantly and issues your ticket. If you would rather reserve first, request a WhatsApp booking and we create a pending reservation with a payment link — the slot is only guaranteed once payment is received.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Secure online card payment (Visa and Mastercard with 3D Secure) at checkout, or EFT to our Capitec Business account on request. Every booking is invoiced with your reference number.
Is this the official Ukutula website?
No — Capital Xperience is an independent booking and transport partner for Ukutula experiences. We confirm every booking directly with the reserve and issue your ticket, transfers and invoice.
How do I book Ukutula from overseas?
Exactly the same way — the checkout accepts international Visa and Mastercard, prices display in ZAR, and your e-ticket arrives by email. Many overseas guests add a return transfer from OR Tambo, Lanseria or their Sandton hotel.
Can I book Ukutula for a group?
Yes. Groups of 8 or more are quoted individually, including larger vehicles and multi-day itineraries. Send your group size and dates to WhatsApp +27 82 711 7350 for a written quote.
Can I book Ukutula as a gift or surprise?
Yes — book in the recipient's name and add your own email for the confirmation, or ask us on info@capitalxperience.co.za for a gift-style confirmation without prices shown.
Your Ukutula ticket, confirmation & changes
How do I get my Ukutula ticket after booking?
Straight after confirmation you receive a booking reference (for example UKU-1234) and a downloadable e-ticket with a QR code showing your experience, date, start time and — if booked — your pickup time and address. Show it on your phone or print it; there is nothing to collect at a counter.
What does the Ukutula ticket include?
Reserve entry, your professional guide or handler, the safety briefing, bottled water and photo assistance during the experience. Transfers, meals and extra activities are optional add-ons.
I did not receive my ticket — what now?
Check your spam or promotions folder first, then message WhatsApp +27 82 711 7350 with your name or reference and we resend it immediately. Every booking is stored against your reference, so nothing is ever lost.
Can I change the date or time of my Ukutula ticket?
Yes — free rescheduling is available subject to availability. Contact us as early as you can so we move the slot instead of cancelling it, and a new ticket is reissued with the updated details.
Can I cancel my Ukutula booking and get a refund?
Most bookings can be rescheduled up to 48 hours before your experience. Cancellation terms are shown at checkout, on the cancellation policy page and on your invoice — always contact us first, as moving your date is usually the better outcome.
Can I add more guests after booking?
Yes, subject to availability on your slot. Send your reference and the extra guest count and we update the booking and reissue your ticket with a balance to settle.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No — the QR code on your phone is enough. A printed copy is handy if you expect poor signal on the day.
What if I am running late?
Call or WhatsApp us as soon as you know. Experiences start at fixed times with handlers and animals scheduled around them, so late arrivals may need to move to a later slot if one is open.

What time should I arrive?
Be ready 15 minutes before your pickup time if you booked a transfer. Self-drive guests should aim to arrive 30 minutes to an hour before the start time so late traffic never costs you the slot.

The Guided Predator Tour and Lion Waterhole drive suit all ages and mobility levels, with mostly short, flat walking and vehicle-based viewing. The lion walk is 12+ and involves gentle bush walking on uneven ground.

Can I combine Ukutula with Pilanesberg or Hartbeespoort?

Is Ukutula ethical?
Ukutula Conservation Centre is a research and conservation facility, and every experience runs under trained handler supervision with strict animal-welfare protocols. Your guide explains the conservation and research work during the visit.
Do you offer transfers from OR Tambo or Lanseria?
